About The Festival

Simply known as The Festival, the Cheltenham event is one of the most prestigious on the racing calendar and attendees at the event include celebrities and even members of the royal family.  The event switched to a four day one in 2005 and the 2017 event saw the highest ever attendance on the second day with over 57,000 people enjoying the occasion.

The event also combines with the St Patrick’s Day celebration on March 16th, as it takes place on the 13th – 16th March 2018.  This means that there is an impressive amount of Guinness drank during the event and there is even a special Guinness Village to celebrate the special Irish drink.

Rest assured, the fun doesn’t end when the racing does – the Final Flight Bar is a popular spot within the race ground for a party after the day’s racing and is open until 7:30pm every night of The Festival.  With live music and a cocktail bar, it is the perfect place to end the day.
