Service:
What does your next chauffeur offer in terms of service. Are they just a taxi firm in a nice car or do they offer a better more complete service. Will they be discreet, professional and have etiquette. How do you feel when you speak to them for the first time. Do you feel comfortable with them are they over friendly? Do they have experience with what you need for example in the location you need chauffeuring to or the client it’s for. Do they know what is expected in certain situations and are they prepared.
Coverage:
Some chauffeur companies say they cover areas when in fact they don’t do much business there. So will they know the best routes the local knowledge that will allow a smooth and pleasant journey.
Fleet:
Regarding the vehicles they have, do they fit what you want or are you making the “best of what they have” choice. For example if you need a wedding car and the wedding is very traditional a new Stretched Hummer may not be suitable but a vintage rolls royce maybe better. Likewise for a prom or sporting event you probably wouldn’t want a vintage rolls royce but something more spectacular maybe in order.
Licensed:
Chauffeurs need to be licensed and depending on what county the chauffeur is registered will depend on what they need to be licensed with. It’s worth checking with the business to see their licence or even contact the local council to ensure they are licensed as effectively these chauffeurs will be responsible for transporting you form one destination to another.
Trained:
Just because you can drive doesn’t mean you are trained.
Insured:
A professional legitimate chauffeur business will not only be insured for themselves but they will cover the passenger also. Some people pose as chauffeurs but they haven’t got the protection of insurance should the unthinkable happens. You wouldn’t drive a car with an uninsured driver or someone without a licence so just by saving a few £££ at the beginning may not be the wisest idea in the long run.
